About the speakers

Asheesh Gupta, Co-founder & Chief Care Officer, based in Gurgaon, India

B Tech from IIT Kanpur (1989) and MBA from IIM Calcutta, Asheesh has had a global corporate career with McKinsey & Company, Halliburton and Citicorp. He has also been a media entrepreneur and higher-education evangelist involved with setting up and transforming Universities in India. Passionate about enhancing the quality of life for independent senior citizens, in 2016 Asheesh co-founded Samarth (meaning “capable” in Hindi language), a professional venture in the elder care space with the mission of helping the elderly enjoy a quality, independent life in Indian cities. In recognition of his work, he was invited by Cornell University to join the Cornell Institute for Healthy Futures as an Industry Scholar in 2018.

Sanjay Ahuja, Co-founder, based in Houston, TX

B Tech from Delhi College of Engineering (1987) and MBA from JBIMS Mumbai, Sanjay has had a global corporate career with Halliburton  & IBM. More recently he has been an innovator and entrepreneur inventing award winning consumer products in the United States. Passionate about conservation, he has also founded AquaSmart water conservation education program focusing on planting the seed in young children through diverse engagement and activities. Facing the challenges of caring for his own parents living independently in India, in 2016 Sanjay co-founded Samarth (meaning “capable” in Hindi language), a professional venture in the elder care space with the mission of helping the elderly enjoy a quality, independent life in Indian cities.
